2021第四届“国际大学生旅游文创设计大赛” 作品征集公告

一、大赛概况
知者创物,古已有之;文旅融合,时代潮头。“国际大学生旅游文创设计大赛”,是一项以(文创)设计拓展当代旅游文化,提升海南旅游体验为宗旨,面向国内外高校开展的大型旅游文创设计188金博宝bet活动。回首2018年至今已成功举办的三届大赛,投稿作品数量、参赛高校数量逐年大幅增加,作品质量显著提升。该赛事的持续推进,对宣传海南、推介海南、设计海南,以及在深化设计艺术教育与社会高度融合等方面起到了积极的促进作用。

以更好地落实《海南自由贸易港建设总体方案》中建设“海南国际设计岛”和教育部支持海南创建“国际教育创新岛”为宗旨,促进服务海南自贸港的艺术设计创新人才培养为目标,“国际大学生旅游文创设计大赛”正在被打造为聚焦文旅创新设计及设计人才的高质量孵化平台,为国际自贸港建设汇聚、培养和输送具有国际化视野的高端专业设计人才。大赛组委会拟于2021年9月至12月举办第四届“国际大学生旅游文创设计大赛”以及“国际设计岛高峰论坛”。以旅游文创大赛为活力之源,为“海南国际设计岛”建设贡献创意力量,同时借助优势行业资源丰富、转化大赛中涌现出的优秀设计作品,并在此期间对旅游文化的创新设计展开广泛的作品推介和举办相关行业及学术研讨。此次征集活动旨在通过赛事推进海南自贸港建设的创新设计,促进传统产品转型升级,提升品牌附加值,实现传统文化元素与时代相融合的新旧动能转换。以国际化、产业化、时尚化、生活化、特色化的创意设计塑造“海南设计”品牌形象,助力海南文创设计与产业对接和高质量发展,促进民族文化的传承与创新,打造海南高端品牌产品。

二、参赛细则
(一)参赛规定:大赛以旅游文化为牵引,创新设计为导向,运用艺术创意手法多角度全方位展现海南自由贸易港建设以及世界各地的旅游文化风貌。参赛作品应创意新颖,富有国际视野、文化内涵和艺术性,内容积极向上围绕主题,价值取向正确鲜明,不得与中华人民共和国法律法规相抵触。
(二)参赛资格:国内外在校大学生(专科及以上)。
(三)参赛要求:每件作品参赛成员不超过3人,每件作品指导老师不超过2人。本次大赛不收取任何参赛费,其他费用自理。
(四)奖励办法
1.金奖:共 6 名,奖金 1.0 万元,获奖杯和证书。
2.银奖:共18名,奖金 0.3 万元,获奖杯和证书。
3.铜奖:共 30 名,奖金 0.1 万元,获奖杯和证书。
4.最佳人气奖:共 6 名,奖金 0.1万元,获奖证书。
5.优秀奖:共 150 名,获奖证书。
6.优秀指导教师奖:颁发给金奖、银奖、铜奖作品的指导教师。
7.优秀组织奖:向积极组织参赛的院校颁发优秀组织奖证书,并邀请出席颁奖典礼。

三、参赛主题与作品类别
(一)作品组
以“旅游文化”为主题的文创设计,按小类别进行投稿与评奖。
1.海报设计
围绕海南自由贸易港及各地的人文景观和自然景观、非物质文化遗产、少数民族文化等内容进行的插画作品和文化宣传海报作品。
2.包装设计
针对海南及各地的旅游伴手礼包装设计,如特色美食、热带水果、地方特产等进行品牌包装设计的作品。
3.文化衍生品设计
围绕海南自由贸易港及各地的历史文化、红色文化、地方民俗、非遗文化、神话传说等方面进行文创衍生品设计。包括文创商品、吉祥物及其衍生品、工艺美术品等。
4.旅游装备设计
基于旅游的使用需求而创新设计的消费类旅游装备产品。包括个人旅游装备、户外旅游装备、旅游服装服饰等。应具备批量生产及市场推广价值,便于携带。
5.数字媒体设计
围绕海南自由贸易港及各地旅游文化,利用数字多媒体手段或VR/AR等新技术进行的数字媒体作品。包括APP界面、动画、游戏、微电影、纪录片、宣传片等。
6.环境与空间设计
以海南琼北民居、黎苗村落、侨乡文化、美丽乡村以及各地的文化空间、商业空间、休闲康养等为主题的环境与建筑设计、园林园艺设计、景观提升及各类规划设计等作品。包括城市景观、乡村环境改造、生态农业、公共艺术、精品民宿等设计。
(二)论文组(设一、二、三等奖及优秀奖,无奖金)
面向在校大学生征稿,选题以旅游文化策略及创意设计为主,题目自拟,要求投稿论文须是未经发表的。

四、作品提交要求
近三年(自2018年8月1日起)创作的有关旅游文化,且具有自主知识产权的原创作品均可报名。
(一)静态作品
提交两种规格的作品展板JPG文件(①印刷规格:A3尺寸、300dpi、CMYK色彩模式;②网络规格:842×1191像素、72dpi、RGB色彩模式)。统一竖版构图,单个作品展板数不超过三张(请保留展板和作品源文件,若获奖需提交)。
(二)动态作品
同静态作品相同,需提交两种规格的作品展板JPG文件,另外还必须提交作品演示视频。(视频格式可为avi、mkv、mp4 格式,分辨率不得低于1080p,时间长度不超过2分钟。数字媒体设计作品若无演示视频将被视为无效投稿。)
(三)论文要求
文稿提交A4幅面word文档,应包括标题、中文摘要、正文、参考文献等部分,字数不少于5000字,论文格式参考一般期刊论文格式要求,注意论文中不能有作者署名和作者简介,不得出现任何与作者相关的个人信息。

五、大赛流程及时间安排
征集阶段(即日起至2021年11月7日)
作品评审阶段(2021年11月,评审阶段分为初评、复评、终评三个阶段进行。)
颁奖及设计成果展示周(2021年12月)

七、评审委员会组成与评审要求
评审委员会将邀请国内外著名专家、知名教授和设计师等组成。大赛评审本着公开、公正、公平和独立的原则进行。

八、版权声明
依据国家有关法律法规,凡主动提交作品的“参赛者”或“作者”,即认为其已经对所提交的作品版权归属作如下不可撤销声明:
(一)原创声明
参赛作品须是参赛者的原创作品,未侵犯任何他人的任何专利、著作权、商标权、字体及其他知识产权;该作品未在报刊、杂志、网站及其他媒体公开发表,未申请专利或进行版权登记的作品,未参加过其他比赛获奖,未以任何形式进入商业渠道。获奖设计师保证参赛作品终身不以同一作品形式参加其他的设计比赛或转让给他方。否则,组委会将取消其参赛与获奖资格,收回奖金、获奖证书和奖杯及保留追究法律责任的权利。、
(二)获奖作品知识产权归属
获奖作品的作者与大赛组委会共享作品署名权,全部著作权归大赛组委会所有。包括但不限于双方采取以下方式行使用著作权:享有对所属大赛获奖作品方案进行再设计、生产、销售、展示、出版和宣传等权利,产生的收益由双方商定。其他任何单位和个人(包括作者本人)未经授权不得以任何形式对作品转让、复制、转载、传播、摘编、出版、发行、许可使用等。
(三)参赛者提交作品之前,已仔细阅读上述条款,充分理解并表示同意。否则,组委会将有权取消其参赛与获奖资格,收回奖金、获奖证书和奖杯。本次大赛的评审委员会拥有对所有获奖作品的最终裁定权。
(四)如因违反上述权属而产生的一切法律纠纷,一切后果和损失由参赛者自行承担。且组委会有权取消其参赛资格和获奖资格。

Invitation for Submission 2021

Executive Summary

As Chinese proverb says: “Saga create things, which has existed from ancient times”. The integration of culture and tourism is also the trend of the times. International University Student Design Competition on Creative Tourism Product Design is a large-scale tourism cultural and creative design competition for global universities with the purpose of (cultural and creative) design to expand contemporary tourism culture and enhance Hainan’s tourism experience. Looking back for the previous 3 competitions since 2018, both the number of works and the number of participating universities have significantly increased year by year, and the quality of the works has been significantly improved. The competition has played a positive role in promoting Hainan as a preferred tourism destination and international creative design island.

To better implement the concept of “Hainan International Design Island” in the “Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Island” and the “International Education Innovation Island”, this design competition has the mission not only to cultivate the creative talents, but also built a high-quality incubation platform on innovative design for tourism industry with an international vision. With above objectives, the organizing committee plans to hold the 4th “International University Student Design Competition on Creative Tourism Product Design” and “International Design Island Summit Forum” from September to December 2021. This Design Competition will take the tourism and creativity as the source of vitality, and also contribute creative power to the construction of “Hainan International Design Island”. Outstanding design works emerging from the competition will be transformed into commercial products. Seminars and workshops willalso be held. This design competition will advocate the creativity and enhance Hainan’s reputation as international design hub. Also, some traditional Hainan products will be embedded with more value and creativity. We will also promote the brand value of “Design by Hainan”, so as to connect tradition with innovation and build high-end value- added products for Hainan.

Design Competition Terms and Conditions

Basic principles
In order to showcase the splendid landscape of the only free trade island of China, this design competition is themed with tourism and culture and advocates creativity. All submitted works should adhere to the principle of innovation, international vision, cultural and artistic aesthetic, and also abide by the core value and relevant laws and regulations of People’s Republic of China.

Qualification to submission
Current University Student (3-year college student and above, from home and abroad universities)

Requirement
Maximum 3 member for each individual portfolio and maximum 2 instructors. There is no entry fee for this design competition. However, you will be responsible for other cost associated with the creation of your portfolio.

Awards
Gold Award: 6 winners, with a prize of RMB10,000, Trophy and Certificate.
Silver Award: 18 winners, a prize of RMB 3,000, Trophy and Certificate.
Bronze Award: 30 winners, with a prize of RMB 1000, Trophy and Certificate.
Best Popularity Award: 6 winners, RMB 1000 reward, and Certificate.
Excellence Award: 150 winners, with Award Certificates.
Excellent Instructor: awarded to instructors with gold, silver, and bronze awards.
Excellent Organization Award: A certificate of outstanding organization award will be awarded to colleges and universities that actively organize the competition, and will be invited to the final Award Ceremony.

Design Competition Theme and Category

I.Portfolio Category
This design competition will be focused on the theme of “Tourism and Culture”, which could be categorised as follows:
1. Poster Design
Illustration and cultural posters themed Hainan Free Trade Island and the cultural and natural landscapes, intangible cultural heritage, and ethnic minority cultures in various places.
2. Package Design
Package design for tourist souvenirs, such as special food, tropical fruits, and local specialties.
3. Side Cultural Product Design
Cultural and Creative Product Design for Hainan Free Trade Island, themed historical culture, red culture, local folklore, intangible cultural heritage, myths and legends of various places.
4. Tourism Accessory Design
Innovative consumer tourism equipment products, such as personal travel equipment, outdoor travel equipment, travel garment, etc. Those products should have the capacity for mass production and market promotion value, also portable.
5. Digital Media Design
Utilize digital media technology or VR/AR technology to theme Hainan Free Trade Island or local tourism culture, including UI for apps, animation, game, documentary, promotional video or vlog.
6. Environmental and Spatial Design
Environmental and architectural design, landscape and interior design works with themes of Hainan Qiongbei folk house, Limiao village, hometown of overseas Chinese, beautiful villages and cultural spaces, commercial spaces, leisure, and health care.

II.Paper Category (1st, 2nd, 3rd and Excellent Award, no financial rewarding)
Call for papers for college students. The topic is mainly based on tourism and cultural strategies and creative design. The topic is self-initiated, and the submitted papers must be unpublished.

Portfolio submission requirement
All submitted works should be the original works with independent intellectual property rights in relation to tourism culture from past three years (from August 1, 2018) can be registered.

Static Portfolio
Please submit JPG files with the following two specifications (1. Printing format: A3 in size, 300dpi, CMYK; 2 Web formats: 842*1191 pixel, 72dpi, RGB)
Landscape, no more than 3 pages (please keep the source file and original show board and you will be required to submit the original file if been awarded.)

Interactive Portfolio
Same as static works, JPG files of two specifications of works exhibition boards must be submitted, and work demonstration videos must also be submitted. The video format can be avi, mkv, mp4, the resolution should not be lower than 1080p, and the duration should not exceed 2 minutes. (Digital media works without a demo video will be considered as invalid submissions.)

Paper requirement
The manuscript submitted to an A4 format word document should include the title, Chinese abstract, main text, references, etc., with no less than 5000 words. The format of the paper should refer to the format requirements of general journal papers. Note that the author’s signature and author’s introduction should not be included in the paper. Any personal information related to the author.

Originality Declaration
All submitted works must be the original work and does not infringe any patents, copyrights, trademarks, fonts, and other intellectual property rights of anyone else; the work has not been published in newspapers, magazines, websites, or other media, and has not applied for patents or copyrights. The works have not participated in other competitions and have not entered commercial uses in any form. The winning designer guarantees that the entries will not participate in other design competitions or transfer to other parties in the form of the same work for life. Otherwise, the organizing committee will cancel its qualifications, withdraw bonuses, award certificates and trophies, and reserve the right to pursue legal liabilities.

Intellectual Property Ownership of Awarded Works
The designers of the winning works share the right of authorship with the competition organizing committee, and all copyrights belong to the competition organizing committee. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of copyright by both parties in the following ways: the right to redesign, produce, sell, display, publish, and publicize the winning works of their respective competitions, and the resulting benefits shall be negotiated by both parties. Any other unit or individual (including the designer himself) shall not transfer, copy, reprint, disseminate, extract, publish, distribute, and license the work in any form without authorization.

All participants have read, understand, and agree to the above terms and conditions before submission. Otherwise, the organizing committee will have the right to cancel its qualifications for participation and awards, and withdraw bonuses, award certificates and trophies. The jury of this competition has the final right on all winning works. In case of all legal disputes arising from violation of the above mentioned ownership, all consequences and losses shall be borne by the contestants themselves. And the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel its qualifications for participation and awards.
